Small but Rich Meghalaya state

Meghalaya is a hill state in north-east India. Almost half of it’s border is an international border with Bangladesh, and other half is with Assam state of India. Though it’s geographically in a disadvantageous position it is very rich in natural resources. Shillong is the capital of Meghalaya, and it’s a beautiful hill station. This is already a great tourist attraction. Most of the state land is covered in hills, and they are very fertile. That’s why cultivations is the primary activity of the resident of Meghalaya.

The agricultural produces and available natural resources makes it a unique state in north-east states of India. Yet, there are huge number of people live in poverty. The resources are not tapped properly to create job and earning.
